Mother’s Day + 1st Attempt at Floral Gifts

Doug and I celebrated Mother’s day with my family this year (his mom was in Richmond with two of his sisters and family to celebrate Peyton, our niece, for her 4th birthday).

I decided that I would try my hand at floral arrangements, and I am quite pleased with how they turned out!  We love Import Flowers for many reasons.  They have the best selection in town, a super helpful staff, and you can go pick out your own flowers and pay wholesale prices for them!

These are my Mason Jar arrangements for my grandmother, mom and sister.  I used mini green hydrangeas, hot pink tulips, gerbera daisies, white hyacinths and ti leaves.  I wrapped the ti leaves around the inside of the 1 qt. jars, filled with water + flower food, then arranged the florals and tied with a soft pink ribbon.

They were a huge hit and smelled heavenly (thanks to the hyacinths)!  Would you believe I did all of these for less than $50 total?!
