Doug came to Nashville in the fall of 2007 to attend Belmont University, where Brittany was a rising senior serving on the Orientation Council for new freshmen. He majored in Music Business; she studied English Writing. He befriended his RA who invited him to the college ministry at their now church, Brentwood Baptist – which Brittany claims to be their true meeting place. After many months developing a great friendship, Doug asked Brittany to be his girlfriend in January 2009 and then to be his wife in October 2011. They were married on April 12, 2012, and have loved the transition to married life!
Doug currently works as the Sales Manager at Kenco Plastics in Lewisburg, TN. Brittany is a Proofreader for Harland Clarke Marketing in Franklin, TN. His parents live in Switzerland, and his three sisters and extended family live here in the states. Brittany’s parents each live just north of Nashville where her sister, brothers and extended family reside also.
Doug is an avid hunter; Brittany adores her book club. When he’s not in a treestand or she with her nose in a book, you can often find them cooking, playing with their dog boy, Toby, or enjoying the many awesome things that Middle Tennessee has to offer.
